Position
We are currently looking for a skilled Technical Product Developer – Protections to join our Protections Department, taking on a pivotal role in our Product Development process.
This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, experienced, and technical Product Developer to work across several product categories, building on your skills and experience within a leading motorsports brand.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the development process of protectors end-to-end, from design to production kick-off phase, making sure to keep the process on schedule.
Working cross-functionally, you will select new materials with the Designers, coordinating and maintaining material specifications so that they meet any needed both quality and performance standards.
Liaising closely with our suppliers, you will be communicating with them with regards to garment amendments as well as on 3D CAD modifications.
You will also be in charge of product costing and related tooling costing through technical documentation such as BOMs, making sure not to exceed from the set target.
You will maintain the Tech Chart and related technical information up to date.
You will ensure that garment fit as well as performance standards are respected, managing defect elimination during the prototyping phase and notifying any needed changes to our suppliers.
Working closely with our Testing Team, you will ensure that our products exceed set quality requirements.
You will also manage 3D CAD files, so to carry out feasibility analysis using either Catia and / or Rhinoceros.
You will also be responsible for Production kick-off.
Skills & Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in technical product development within the Sporting Goods industry.
Solid knowledge and previous working experience on CE certified safety devices.
Strong knowledge of technical sportswear and related technical materials such as plastics, thermoplastics, and composites.
Knowledge of MS Office package.
Good knowledge of Adobe Suite, particularly of Illustrator.
Good knowledge of CAD software such as Catia and / or Rhinoceros.
Fluency in English.
Availability to travel.
Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills, as well as a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills will complete the profile.
