Full Stack Software Engineer in Veneto, Italia

Qascom | Aerospace & Defence is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer for its headquarter in Cassola (VI), Italy. As part of the Software Engineering Team, the candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of high-end critical software applications for space missions and Governmental services. This includes the possibility of being involved in the newest cutting-edge projects of the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency, as well as supporting the major international industrial players of the sector.

Initially, the resource will manage the maintenance and evolution of a complex distributed system for GNSS interference monitoring .

What you’ll work o n

• Design, development, test and deploymen t of distributed systems for data collection, storage and visualization;
  
  
• System level activities, including but not limited to, requirements analysis, identification and flow-down, software design and development
• Development of technical documentatio n, according to the applicable standards relevant to the engineering domain (e.G. ESA/ECSS, GSWS, ETSI, etc.)
• Implementation and deployment of RAG system s and fine-tuned LLM s in production environments.
• Maintenance o f production system s with focus on availability, according to SLA
• Management of the system infrastructur e and DevOps activitie s, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and fixing infrastructure-related issues

Wh a t do you ne ed

• Bachelor’s or Master’ s degree i n Computer Science Engineerin g is a mu s t;
  
  
• Professional experience in developing and maintainin g complex applications deploy ed in production, ideally under SLA;
  
  
• Professional experience wit h relational databases;
  
  
• Professional experience o f containerizati on (Docker is required, Kubernetes is a plus);
  
  
• Good knowledge o f web applications developments and deployment;
  
  
• Good knowledge o f security principles ;
  
  
• Good knowledge o f software engineering, design practices, patterns and object-oriented programmi ng;
  
  
• Proficient i n .Net Cor e o r TypeScript+NodeJS;
  
  
• Knowledge o f Angular or React or Next;
  
  
• Hands on experience wit h Linux;
  
  
• Exposure t o distributed systems, event driv en development , microservic es an d message brokers;
  
  

Good knowledge of written and spoke n Englis h.

Desired Knowledge & Ski lls

• Experience with relational database (schema design, SQL language), PostgreSQL preferred;
  
  
• Experience withlarge scale / high data volume applications;
  
  
• Design and production deployment of RAG architectures and fine-tuned Large Language Models, ensuring scalable integration, performance optimization, and secure enterprise adoption;
  
  
• Familiarity with Gitlab and DevOps activities (CI/CD, pipelines);
  
  
• LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, vector databases, prompt engineering, Python, MLOps, and AI security.
